UPWARd bASkEtbAll & ChEERlEAdiNG!

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is coming up just around the corner. In fact, registration for coaching is going on right now. Many teenagers are needed in order to be able to coach all the teams and squads. Grades range from first through sixth.

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is not your basic activity. Each team has about 10 children and two coaches. Practices are one night a week and one game per weekend. What goes on in practice is what makes Upward Basketball and Cheerleading so unique. During practice, not only do the children practice skills, but they also learn about Jesus and His life on Earth. Each practice contains a small devotion led by the coaches.

Upward is in need of basketball coaches, referees, and cheer coaches. If any student is interested, contact your local church to see how you can help. Upward is full of not only skill building but relationship building. Registration is now through the end of October. Practice and games start immediately after Christmas break in January.
